While I personally disagree with polygamy in the modern age (while understanding its necessity in the time of the prophet Joseph Smith), I think it is an outrage that the Canadian government tramples on the rights of citizens who engage in practices which are simply disliked. People always say that the women are forced into polygamy. That's nonsense, and in the cases where it is true, can be rectified with laws against forced marriage. I think it is silly that a man can be married and carry on a secret, adulterous relationship with another woman or many other women, but if a loving married couple wants to bring another individual into their marriage, that's illegal. It's a double standard and a bloody outrage.

The day this case goes to the supreme court, I'll be there rooting for you. May God help and bless you, Mr. Blackmore.
